This is the first and main reason the website was established. Private RV Lots have become the best way for Full-time RVers to enjoy living in their RV. Many Campers with RVs like the idea that they can have a place to enjoy whenever they want to get away. They can own a lot in a highly desirable vacation area and enjoy the benefits of investing in real estate. Just think, you can go whenever you want, without reservations, without packing, without the hassle of public transportation and motels. Another benefit is the possibility of renting the lot and bringing in some income to offset the cost of owning the property. Some lots are deeded and others are more of an investment in the RV resort. The deeded lot is most private and is usually found in the upscale resorts, but you might have to pay property tax and utilities. Many parks have a covenant association and share the hook-ups, water, sewer, garbage, lawn-care and other amenities. Many lots have a utility building on the lot where you can store lots of items that otherwise would have to be towed back and forth. Your RV is less cluttered and more enjoyable. These lots are privately owned. When it is time to travel with your RV you will need a place to park and it might be better to deal with an individual owner rather than a Public Campground. Many RVers return to the same place over and over, once they find a lot they enjoy. Some of the benefits are, when you want a quiet place that is not encumbered with programmed activities and tourist oriented in-and-out traffic and you are willing to stay for awhile; then this might be the best bet. Most of these lots are located largely in retirement communities, but that is not always the case. Actually you can find lots almost anywhere. Our lot was one block from the best beached in the USA and there were no campgrounds nearby, so the lot was highly desirable.
Privately owned lots are found in small parks where activity is minimal. But, if you want group involvement, look for large Corporate Parks. Usually a privately-owned RV lot is rented by the week or month because of the convenience of bookkeeping and lack of daily management. Park Models/RV Homes For Sale-
After your traveling days are over you might want to put a Park Model on your lot. Also, the Park Model is a good choice for snowbirds. The house can be locked up when you return back home, just like the home you left back up North when you come down South for the Winter. It’s not camping as much as living in a resort at a low cost and also a nice house to live in. There are many park model parks in Florida, California and Arizona, for example.
Some RV enthusiasts still want a regular home and you might find a “RV Home” here. An RV home is one with RV style accommodations. They come with a RV port and full hook-ups for storing the RV. These homes are privately owned and designed as a conventional home and are located in a neighborhood where they allow RVs. As you know some subdivisions do not allow RVs. When you are not on the road, you are home.
Some resorts have condo covenants and restrictions like many nice neighborhoods and condominiums. The covenants protect you and your property value. There are advantages like saving or not paying property tax, (the land is taxed, but the house is classified as a RV and you buy a license for it) low maintenance fees to co-ops to pay for water, sewer, garbage, landscaping, etc. Any property has to have some sort of insurance to consider. Park Models/Cabins For Rent-
So, you don’t have an RV, but you would still like to experience the lifestyle of RVing! Not to worry… you can rent a Park Model in a RV Resort and enjoy being with like minded people. Park Models are usually less expensive to rent than a Condo, for instance. They can be located in the woods or at the beach or in the mountains. RV Cabins are a great way to “rough it” too. Rent a cabin in the mountains and take the family for an adventure.
This is a nice way to enjoy a get-away and learn if the RV life is for you. Many parks have Park Models and RVs together on the same resort. Most resorts offer many amenities you would find in a condo setting or a hotel, like a clubhouse, scheduled activities, swimming pool, laundry facilities, gated community and landscaped. Condos are less friendly since they are usually like apartments. The Park Model is independent of connected walls and is more like a neighborhood. Since my wife was in a wheelchair, as she suffered with ALS, I figured I would dedicate a section of the website to Special Needs RVs. It took off and it is the place to look for these types of RVs.

Here again, RV Property is not the premier website to find campgrounds for sale. We compete for ads by offering good rates and longevity for the advertiser. People who aspire to own a campground were first outdoors-people at heart and probably cut their teeth by going camping in a RV or tent. You will find a good selection of ads for campgrounds for sale.
Owning a campground can be a good place to raise a family. It is a lot of fun and hard work. One thing about the campground life, you can always be home and don’t have to take the bus downtown to go to work with all the stress that goes with it. The key is to have a good loyal crew to help you run the campground. Running a campground sounds exciting and fun. It is a business and must be run like a business. The best way to save money while you are RVing is to get into a campground membership. The idea here is to use the membership often. All full-timers should take advantage of this plan. You can find memberships for a low price from previous owners who do not use the membership anymore. Possibly they have gotten too old to travel anymore or there was something that changed their lifestyle.
You pay dues every year to contribute to the upkeep of your Home Park. This allows you to stay at your Home Park free, usually for two weeks at a time. Another advantage of owning a campground membership is that it allows you to belong to a reciprocal association of campgrounds for a small fee and this gives you a low cost stay at parks across the country.
